Music is a vital and vibrant part of Skokie Central United Methodist Church--both in and outside of worship services!
Chancel (Adult) Choir
This is a friendly group of singers who sing to worship God! We are a non-audition choir and vocal parts are reviewed during rehearsals. The choir meets in the Sanctuary on Thursday evenings (7:00-9:00 p.m.) and Sunday mornings in the sanctary (8:45–10:00 a.m. just before worship). If you are interested in singing, come join us! Contact Milette Silverio, our choir director, or come up and see her before or after the Service.
Congregational Singing
Our most important singers on Sunday morning? YOU! ME! All of us! At Skokie Central UMC, we sing a variety of music – traditional hymns and old favorites, contemporary and praise songs, global and world music to reflect the diversity of our congregation. Congregational singing is led by Julianne Arvizu, our song leader. If you are interested in participating in song-leading hymns, let us know!
